Wrapping up Fraternity business
Continuing with the traditions of Convention, members attended the second and final Business Meeting on Saturday afternoon. After roll call and the Credentials Committee Report, we celebrated the academic achievements of our collegiate chapters with two Silver Awards.
Golden Anniversary Academic Achievement Award
This Silver Award honors the collegiate chapter with the highest academic average throughout the biennium. With an exceptional 3.86 biennium GPA, this award went to:
Lambda Pi, Reinhardt University
Margaret Dunkle Hardy Academic Improvement Award
This Silver Award is given to the collegiate chapter with the most improved academic average during the biennium. This chapter raised its average from 2.97 to as high as 3.39, finishing the biennium with a 3.20 average.
Delta Pi, Eastern New Mexico University

Recommendations Committee
The voting delegates were asked to adopt a resolution to continue the Foundation’s work with breast cancer education and awareness. Furthermore, the committee recommended an official expansion of the Foundation’s mission to include funding research that advances the search for a cure for breast cancer. The recommendations were adopted!
National Council
Vice President Collegiate III Jacque Green Lish then honored the five retiring members of National Council: National President Dinah Jackson Laughery, Vice President Alumnae I Kery Reinkemyer Webb, Vice President Alumnae II Barb Chang-Holt, Secretary-Treasurer Shannon Ferguson, and National Panhellenic Conference Delegate Dr. Katie Peoples Zamulinsky.
